Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, where you'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud infrastructure supporting native cloud applications. You will bridge the gap between software development, operations, and cybersecurity, delivering business outcomes aligned with our strategic direction. This position is not safety sensitive.

Cloud & On-Prem Infrastructure Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain multi-tier hybrid cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) alongside traditional data center environments.
  • Ensure high availability, failover, and disaster recovery strategies across multi-cloud and on-prem systems.

System Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices for cloud and on-prem systems, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
  • Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC, HIPAA).
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to establish secure hybrid-cloud networking and workload protections.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud and on-prem environments using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or equivalent tools.
  • Streamline deployments using CI/CD pipelines and configuration management solutions.
  • Optimize system performance through automation and orchestration strategies.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, or cloud-native monitoring solutions for observability.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies for cloud resource usage.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with DevOps, network, security, and application teams to support business initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership on infrastructure projects and cloud migrations.
  • Offer tier-3 escalation support for complex system and cloud-related issues.

What we need from you (minimum requirements):

  • 5 years of experience in systems engineering, including hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-prem technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, bare metal servers).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and serverless computing.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks.

Preference if you also have:

  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • This is a hybrid position, working 2 days on-site and 3 days remote.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional data center visits or travel to remote sites.
