What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hot Pilates Teacher position at Lynden Yoga Collective?
$42.50 to $55 per class, plus $2.50 for every student over 10.
Lynden Yoga Collective is a yoga, pilates, and massage studio in downtown Lynden, a welcoming, well-loved space where people come to move, breathe, and take care of themselves. We are adding a Hot Pilates teacher to our team.
Pay
$42.50 to $55 per class depending on experience, plus $2.50 per student over 10 in every class you teach. The hourly range shown on this posting reflects per-class pay.
The role
You will lead Hot Pilates classes in our heated studio: mat-based, music-driven, full-body work that is challenging without being punishing. Our students range from first-timers to long-time members, so you need to be able to cue clearly, offer options, and keep the whole room moving together.
Schedule
Open slots we are hiring for:
- Weekdays: 5:45 AM, 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 4:30 PM, 6:00 PM
- Weekends: 8:30 AM, 4:30 PM
Take one slot or several, 2 to 8 classes per week. Consistency matters more than volume; we want a teacher students can count on week to week.
What you will do
- Teach a consistent weekly schedule from the open slots listed above
- Plan sequences that build strength, mobility, and control, and adapt them on the fly for the room in front of you
- Learn students' names, greet every person who walks in, and follow up with new students after class
- Arrive early, set the room, run the heat, and leave the space ready for the next class
- Take part in occasional team meetings and studio events
What we are looking for
- Pilates mat certification from a recognized program
- Experience teaching group mat classes, heated or unheated
- Comfortable teaching in a heated room, or willing to train in with us
- Reliable, punctual, and communicative about your schedule
- Able to cue for a mixed-level room and hold a warm, encouraging tone from start to finish
- Current liability insurance, or willingness to obtain it
Benefits
- Free unlimited yoga and pilates membership
- Discounted massage
- Discounts on our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and continuing education programs
- Heated studio, mats, props, sound system, and front desk all handled for you
- Bonus pay for every student over 10
Why teach here
We are a small, owner-run studio, not a franchise. You will know the owners by name, have a say in how your classes run, and teach in a room that is clean, quiet, and cared for. Our members show up consistently, so you will build real relationships, not a rotating cast of strangers.
How to apply
Send a short note about your training and teaching background, along with your availability for the slots above, to hello@lyndenyogacollective.com. Include a resume or a link to your teaching profile if you have one. We will invite selected candidates to teach an audition class for our team.
