What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Assistant (Special Education)/Paraprofessional position at Lyme School District?
Educational Assistants fulfill a variety of regular and special education duties, and the duties assigned to any aide may vary or be amended from time to time without changing the level of responsibility associated with the job. Generally, aides are assigned to classroom situations in which the class size may suggest the need for instructional assistance or in which individual students, particularly special education students, may need assistance and direction. In all situations, aides remain responsible to the classroom teachers as they assist with instruction, management, and the implementation of accommodations as directed.
