Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, floors and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with kitchen health and safety standards.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and organizing dishware for efficient cleaning cycles.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and bulk supplies safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic prep tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Unload and put away deliveries.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
- Experience with kitchen equipment operation or culinary tasks such as knife skills or basic food prep is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
