Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Leatherworking Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the production of handcrafted leather goods, ensuring the quality and attention to detail our brand is known for. This position is ideal for someone passionate about craftsmanship, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn, no prior knowledge of leather working is required, other knowledge of skills such as sewing, pattern drafting, and using basic power tools like a belt sander will help your application.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with cutting, stamping, sewing, and dyeing leather pieces.
- Assemble and finish leather products, including sewing, riveting, and burnishing edges.
- Maintain and operate leatherworking tools and equipment.
- Help with packaging, quality control, and preparing orders for shipping.
- Organize materials and supplies, ensuring the workspace remains clean and functional.
- Support custom projects by following specific designs and instructions.
- Participate in creative brainstorming for new product ideas and designs.
- Help pack and prepare for events.
- Help with shipping and receiving.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in leatherworking, crafting, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to use or learn to use hand tools (e.g., punches, mallets, swivel knives).
- Basic sewing skills (hand or machine) are a bonus.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, creative environment.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to take direction.
- Interest in historical or fantasy aesthetics is a plus!

Starting wage 17$ an hour probational until first 3 months of training period is complete after which 1$ raise will be given.
Yearly performance based raises 3-5%
(After one year employment wage will be $18.54 - $18.90)
PTO 16 hours (2) days personal days per year.
Sick leave 40 hours (5) days per year.
Vacation leave 80 hours (10) days per year.

If you work in person events with us you will also receive, travel pay including food/ travel reimbursement and a share of tips earned in person. Typically this equals and extra $200-$400 per weekend event worked for just tips.
