What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool & Die Repair Assistant, 3rd shift position at Lydall Thermal/Acoustical Inc.?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety in die repair area
- Adjustments, improvements, and repairs to ensure proper function of dies and tooling.
- Preventive maintenance of dies and tooling.
- Support stamping production line setup. Troubleshoot Die and Tooling related issues while remaining on call during production runs.
- Recording of work completed and communication of open issues.
- Workplace organization and housekeeping.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Strong mechanical background
- Mathematics
Additional Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Metal Stamping knowledge including press and feeder systems
- Knowledge of liner transfer systems and end of arm tooling
- Welding, including tig welding of hardened tool steels
- Various Machining Equipment, lathe, mill, hand tools
- Computer experience
