Growing structural engineering firm looking for an experienced structural design engineer. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
- Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections
- Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects
- Structural design of residential/commercial/industrial structures
- Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry & wood design
- Field inspections of damaged or deteriorated structures
- Working with clients to determine SOW and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5 Years of experience
- EIT, PE preferred
- Knowledge of ASCE7, IBC, AISC, ACI codes required
