What are the responsibilities and job description for the Online Math Tutor (Remote) position at Lyceum?
Master's degree (or currently pursuing one) in Mathematics or a closely related field
Strong Bachelor's degree holders with proven teaching experience are also welcome
Strong command of Mathematics across levels: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics
Ability to teach SAT/ACT Math prep
Confidence handling advanced and exam-level problems with clear, step-by-step explanations
Minimum 1–2 years of tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience
Online teaching experience preferred
Excellent spoken and written English
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly, patiently, and in a student-friendly way
Reliable high-speed internet connection
A working laptop/computer with webcam and microphone
A quiet, distraction-free space for online sessions
Consistent weekly schedule with flexibility across US time zones
Familiarity with online tutoring tools (Zoom, digital whiteboards)
