Commercial Sales Manager
Territory: MO, KS, NE, IA
Home Base: Kansas City, KS

Position Summary: Responsible for the strategic planning, management, and specification development of HIMACS, VIATERA, and TERACANTO within the commercial market. Activities include developing relationships with architects and designers, conducting product presentations and CEUs, supplying sample materials, and working with internal teams and channel partners to secure project specifications and sales.
The role also involves identifying and targeting key regional and national accounts where LX Hausys surfacing products can be specified and adopted as preferred materials. This includes supporting specification efforts from early design stages through project award.
Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:
Education and Work Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Design, Art, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience representing surfacing products for commercial projects.
- Direct experience working in the commercial & national account segments for a minimum of 5 years.
- Current knowledge of the commercial & national account segments in assigned territory and/or metro markets preferred.
- Proven sales & business development experience and account management experience in at least one of the following segments: National Accounts, Hospitality, Food Service, Retail, Entertainment, Recreation, Healthcare and/or Education. Team leader or category captain experience a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent oral and written, communication, presentation and organization skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- CRM Experience, Salesforce.com preferred
- Excellent selling skills and strong commercial marketing knowledge
- Results driven with the energy and focus to achieve goals/KPI’s
- Must be able to think and work independently
- Strong creative, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven event planning skills
- Experience working industry trade shows and lunch & learn events
- Proven effective time management, scheduling & planning skills
- Understanding the basics of the commercial value chain and project tracking
- Proven skills working as part of a team & the ability to thrive in a team environment
- Logistically savvy about territory management; navigating efficiently and conscious of budget expenditures
- Proven Networking skills primarily through business such as CSI, IIDA, AIA, IFMA
