Position Summary: Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Role Description: Operation of Robotic equipment. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Responsibilities:
· Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
· Computer literacy; must work closely with computers and programs daily.
· Diligent observation of machinery in order to identify abnormalities during operation.
· Be able to make/suggest adjustments in order to positively affect quality.
· Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems that arise.
· Ensure that all quality controls are completed each day.
· Detailed cleaning of all applicable areas during product color changes.
· Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader.
· Ensure a clean and safe work area.
· Assist in production as necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:
Education and Work Experience:
· Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Knowledge of basic moulding processes, procedures, and machinery preferred (ex. oven/kiln operation, conveying systems, presses).
· Experience in the safe storage and handling of chemicals.
Physical Demands:
· Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
· Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
· Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification.
· May encounter the following chemicals:
· Acetone
· Resin
· Styrene
