As we expand our operations, we are currently looking for a Geomatics Technologist with Geospatial Data experience. This truly unique opportunity will enable the committed individual to expand their career potential alongside the growth and enthusiasm of LW Survey.
The ideal candidate will have solid technical, organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Field Supervisors and able to meet daily project requirements and timelines
- Responsible for field data review, processing field returns, drafting and processing data for Construction, Monitoring, Laser Scanning, UAV and Bathymetric surveys
- Knowledge of conventional and GPS survey practices, and geospatial data
- Able to commit to and promote a safe, inclusive work environment
- Familiarity with precise control network adjustment, blunder checks, raw data/observation editing, QA/QC of survey data
- Calculation of design coordinates for structures, piping, foundations, bolts etc.. from PDF drawings, AutoCAD files, 3D models
- Intermediate to Advanced Point cloud processing in TBC of SX12 scan data of structural entities, foundations, buildings, steel etc.
- Create simple to complex reports derived from field survey and scan data for construction activities
Education and Experience
- Geomatics/Survey Diploma
- Geomatics/Survey Engineering Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years relevant technical experience
- Software experience: Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble RealWorks.
Employment Environment
- Positions located in Lebanon, IN and Houston, TX but will consider remote placement for the ideal candidate
