JOB DESCRIPTION
Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly work assignments are done correctly and on time. They are to lead the warehouse supervisor and floor workers in a manner that is inline with the intent of the Owner and Logistics Manager. The warehouse manager is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, efficient operations, and a clean warehouse at all times.
OBJECTIVES
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
- Assist the shipping department to prepare shipping documents

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Communicate daily with the Logistics Supervisor to plan and complete customer orders, returns, transfers, and more.
- Secure smooth warehouse daily operations of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Adhere to and maintain policies and procedures involving the most up-to-date technological methods for conducting routine tasks in conjunction with LW Flooring’s internal systems
- Perform as the leader of warehouse team members by orienting; training and team building employees for better work environment
- Suggest and develop policies and other improvements to carry on with the demand of the daily operations and business progress in the warehouse settings.
- Assists in maintaining and improving warehouse team members job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Operate warehouse equipment and motorized forklift to pick, pack, prepare, ship, load, receive and unload inventory or materials from 3party carriers, bin locations, loading docks and storage containers as needed.
- To handle staffing needs as they arise.
- As a team member of LW Flooring, perform other miscellanies tasks outside of their normal day-to-day duties when needed
- To work with the Logistics Manager to manage inventory, supply needs, and special tasks outside of the standard work.
- To assist Logistics Manager in managing vendors, suppliers, and carriers associated with LW Flooring and warehouse operations.
SUGGESTED DUTIES:
- Contribute in the improvement and implementation of warehousing policies to minimize mistakes and the overall time it takes to complete tasks.
Qualification requirements:
- 15 Years of Warehouse Experience
- 7 Years of Supervision and Leadership Experience
- 7 Years Inventory Management experience
- 5 Years Office Experience
- General Computer and Technology Savvy
- Ability to use Google/Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. at a time
- AA or BA, preferably in a related field
- Reliable Transportation
Supervisory Responsibility
This position assists Logistics Manager with supervising warehouse employees.
Work Environment
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrapping machines/tools, power tools, saws, box cutters and tape dispensers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position and days of work are Monday to Friday.
