Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Close: Own significant portions of the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, prepare and post complex journal entries, and perform detailed reconciliations for various accounts (e.g., bank, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions).
- Audit & Compliance: Be a primary point of contact and support for internal and external financial audits, preparing comprehensive work papers and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify, document, and implement process improvements and stronger internal controls to streamline accounting operations and enhance financial data integrity—because efficiency is our favorite four-letter word.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Review the work of junior accounting staff, offering guidance and technical support. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (Sales, Operations, Engineering) to ensure proper recording of complex transactions, particularly related to our subscription/leasing models.
- Analysis: Assist in financial analysis, variance analysis (actual vs. budget), and ad-hoc reporting to support management's strategic decision-making.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced technology, manufacturing, or subscription-based company environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep, proven knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with a major ERP/accounting software.
- Mindset: Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and possessing superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
