What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Office Technician position at LVLS Integration?
Capable of all aspects of safe and efficient installation and/or removal of data and
communications equipment and hardware. Safe practices for handling power, switchboard,
and fiber cabling to equipment and knowledge of general work safety practices in a working
environment.
- Ability to climb ladders

- Troubleshooting, testing, and repairing network equipment.
- Lead verification/Continuity testing
- Fiber testing
- Able to prepare and perform a Method of Procedure (MOP) and a Job Information Memo
- (JIM) as well as final end of job walk through with the customer.
- Equipment bar coding.
- Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems.
- Manage in-progress and final quality inspections.
- Manage multiple projects, provide timely reporting, and effectively coordinate with the
- customer and internal organizations within the company. Strong emphasis on good
- customer communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft desk top products such as Excel
and Word are needed. Clean driving record required. Proficiency and familiarity with installing the
following types of central office equipment is desirable: Juniper MX960, Fujitsu 9500, Fujitsu 4500,
Cisco 9912 Edge Switch, Adtran TA5000, Cisco NGROADM, and Ciena ROADM
New boost a Cable Technician, located in Dallas, TX. The Cable Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cabling systems. Day-to-day tasks include running and terminating structured cabling, using hand tools, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The technician will work closely with the project team to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
