As a Principal Environmental Consultant, you will play a key leadership role in managing environmental permitting and compliance efforts for complex industrial and power sector projects. In addition to project execution, you will drive business development initiatives, expand client relationships, and help grow the environmental consulting practice across multiple sectors.
- Lead environmental permitting and compliance efforts for large-scale power and industrial projects
- Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client engagement
- Serve as the primary environmental liaison with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
- Oversee preparation of environmental impact assessments, site selection studies, and technical reports
- Manage permit applications and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies
- Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, and strategic pursuits
- Expand key client accounts and identify growth opportunities across power, grid, and industrial sectors
- Mentor and develop junior staff while promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 15 years of experience in environmental permitting, compliance, or impact assessment for industrial or power projects
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, ESA, RCRA)
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
- Excellent written, verbal, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across technical teams and stakeholders
- Experience with power generation, renewable energy, or large infrastructure projects
- Background in environmental impact assessments and regulatory permitting processes
- Familiarity with GIS or ArcGIS mapping tools
- Professional certifications or advanced technical training
