We are seeking an experienced BAS Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of building automation projects from design through to commissioning and handover. Role Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for the delivery of BAS/BMS projects from contract award through to completion
Manage project scope, programme, cost control, and technical delivery
Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal engineering teams
Coordinate design reviews, technical submittals, and system architecture decisions
Lead and support commissioning activities, including witnessing and handover
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources effectively
Identify and manage project risks, variations, and change control
Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, technical, and quality requirements
Provide clear reporting on project status, milestones, and financial performance
Support continuous improvement in project delivery processes and standards
Required Experience and Skills
5 years' experience within building automation, BMS, or HVAC controls
Proven experience running BAS/BMS projects end‑to‑end
Strong technical understanding of DDC control systems and architectures
Comfortable working across a variety of DDC lines and manufacturer platforms
Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, controls strategies, and commissioning processes
Experience managing multiple stakeholders and technical teams
Strong organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Additional or Desirable Experience
Background as a controls engineer or commissioning engineer prior to project management
Experience working on large or technically complex buildings
Exposure to integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or KNX
Familiarity with smart buildings, analytics, or optimisation projects
Systems and Technologies
Experience across multiple DDC and BMS platforms (manufacturer‑agnostic environment)
Typical exposure may include Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Distech, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, or similar
Use of standard BMS protocols and integrated building systems
