A nationally recognized engineering firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forensic Engineer to join its growing diagnostics and investigations team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects involving structural assessments, failure analysis, and litigation support across a wide range of building types and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations to assess structural damage, material failures, and construction defects.
- Analyze building systems and components to determine root causes of performance issues or failures.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and expert opinions for clients, insurance companies, and legal teams.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop repair strategies and remediation plans.
- Provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred.
- 5 years of experience in forensic engineering, structural design, or construction.
- Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Experience with building codes, construction practices, and materials science.
