Essential Functions: • Assesses and evaluates admission reports, physicians' evaluation, and diagnosis, laboratory tests, and other written documents. • Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, which includes monitoring modalities and post anesthesia followup evaluation. • Administers appropriate injection and medication and monitors medication efficacy. • Maintains accurate patient anesthesiology records, charts, and other documents. • Assembles necessary supplies and equipment needed and tests equipment to ensure proper function prior to commencing anesthesia. • Performs quality assurance assessments and provides recommendations for optimal performance. • Supports life functions during the administration of anesthesia, such as induction and intubation. • Collects fluid volumes and manages blood product administration. • Participates in the debriefing at the completion of surgery.
