Air freight Manager

Job Summary
LV Logistics - USA, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Air Freight Manager to lead our air freight operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end to end management of air freight logistics, ensuring seamless coordination between carriers, clients, and internal teams. Your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize transportation strategies, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the supply chain process, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of our logistics services. This is a hands on role that requires the execution of air freight duties including arranging pickups, raising of air waybills, export AES filings and being fully responsible for all departmental duties including our rate management system, sales activities and departmental profit/loss.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive air freight strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
• Full knowledge & understanding of TSA regulations.
• Manage relationships with vendors including airlines, trucking companies.
• Coordinate transportation planning, dispatching, and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of freight shipments.
• Prepare quotes and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and service agreements with carriers and vendors to maximize cost-efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
• Knowledge of shipping oversize and dangerous goods.
• Oversee freight documentation processes, including customs clearance compliance, government regulations adherence, and freight invoicing.
• Lead sales efforts by identifying new business opportunities through lead generation, inside sales activities, and B2B sales strategies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics sales, carrier performance, and customer satisfaction to continuously improve service quality.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong customer focus.
• Manage team members involved in logistics sales, account management, data entry, dispatching, and customer relationship management to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in air freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations including freight forwarding, sales, and management.
• Demonstrated ability in B2B sales, inside sales techniques, lead generation strategies, and account management practices.
• In-depth understanding of freight regulations such as TSA compliance and customs procedures.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and dispatching tasks.
• Strong communication skills for building lasting relationships with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
