Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Medical Writer at our New York, United States location. The Medical Writer will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and editing medical content, including technical documents, research papers, clinical study reports, and marketing materials. Tasks include conducting thorough research of medical data, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as medical experts, product developers, and regulatory personnel. The role may also involve preparing educational materials and presentations for healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Ophthalmologic Medical Writing, Technical Writing, and developing clear, accurate, and concise scientific documentation.
- Ability to conduct in-depth Research and analyze complex medical and scientific data to support content development.
- Proficiency in Editing, Copyediting, and Proofreading to ensure high-quality and error-free publications.
- Understanding of Medical and Healthcare Communication, as well as familiarity with ophthalmology and related medical terminology.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance in medical/healthcare writing is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree such as MSc or PhD is a plus.
- Strong organizational, time management, and collaborative skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in software tools for document creation, editing, and formatting (e.g., Microsoft Office, scientific editing tools).
