Minimum Position Qualifications:
Academic Rank: Instructor
- Education - Masters Degree in Nursing from an NLN, ACEN or AACN accredited program with a documented plan or current progression in a Masters Degree in Nursing program; Masters Degree in Nursing preferred; Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania required.
- Experience - Two(2) years teaching experience teaching nursing students in a clinical setting, campus skills lab/clinical simulation preferred; two years current professional nursing practice in an acute care nursing care setting preferred.
- Skills - Demonstrated proficiency in teaching and supervising Nursing students in clinical settings, campus skills lab, and/or clinical simulation center; effective communication skills both oral and written; demonstrated leadership and teaching ability; ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Classroom, campus laboratory, and clinical teaching of Acute Care, as assigned; responsible for the preparation, curriculum development, and instruction in theory, campus lab, and clinical nursing for a 40 hour acute care experience that is scheduled outside of course related didactic/clinical/lab experiences; coordination of learning experiences with clinical agencies; planning, instruction, and evaluation of clinical experiences for students; responsible for attending and participating in weekly Nursing Department faculty, team, and committee meetings on the main campus and participating in college committees; assist admissions and coordinate recruiting events (3 minimum); collaborate with admissions to answer nursing program related questions.
Entry Salary: $42,155/annualStandard Work Week: 35 hours
