Position Overview
The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting LuxView’s production operations. This role is responsible for receiving, reconciling, organizing, and delivering materials throughout the warehouse and to manufacturing departments. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating a combination forklift.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders or delivery documents
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the Inventory Manager
- Reconcile received items with documentation and update inventory records
- Transport materials from receiving to appropriate storage areas
- Organize and label materials to ensure efficient storage and retrieval
- Collaborating with the Inventory Manager to prioritize deliveries based on production demands
- Pull and deliver materials based on production schedules and department needs
- Safely operated combination lifts or other warehouse equipment
- Conduct equipment checks, report malfunctions, and perform minor maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and transactions
- Generate reports for management as needed
- Communicate inventory issues or discrepancies to the Inventory Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving preferred
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable operating a combination lift or willing to be trained
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 18ft high
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Day shift with potential for overtime or weekends
Work Location: On-site
