Core Responsibilities
Strategic Project Stewardship: Architect and execute full-scale substation project plans from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables align with safety, quality, and budgetary benchmarks.
Stakeholder Integration: Act as the primary liaison between senior management and external stakeholders, expertly navigating expectations and communicating project trajectories.
Resource & Talent Optimization: Negotiate for and mobilize internal staffing and outside vendors; delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure the right talent is applied to the right challenges.
Continuous Improvement Leadership: Serve as a champion for Lean/CI methodologies, facilitating events and developing employees to become self-sufficient in waste identification and root-cause analysis.
Financial & Scope Governance: Draft budget proposals, manage contingency plans, and perform rigorous cost-tracking to protect project margins and the firm's resources.
Critical Path Management: Identify and resolve complex project dependencies, using advanced tools to track milestones and preemptively mitigate risks.
Performance Reporting: Synthesize complex data into high-impact progress reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing actionable insights into project health.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience directing work in a large-scale project management capacity.
Domain Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of Substation work is essential; salary is highly tiered based on specific experience running substation projects.
Technical Acumen: Mastery of project scheduling tools, resource allocation principles, and strategic planning methodologies.
Communication: Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and supervise diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Geographic Preference: Residents of the Cleveland, OH or Fort Worth, TX areas are highly preferred.
