Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team at Luxury Garden Center, a leading Garden Center and Landscaping business. The Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of landscaping projects, from initial design to completion. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, client relationships, and team coordination to ensure the successful delivery of landscaping projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Management:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from initial consultation through to design, installation, and post-project maintenance.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Conduct site visits to assess client needs, gather requirements, and understand project scope.
- Team Coordination & Supervision:
- Coordinate the work of landscaping teams, ensuring the right resources are available at the right time.
- Supervise day-to-day activities on job sites, including managing labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality control throughout the project.
- Client Communication & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Address any client concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in presenting design concepts to clients and providing feedback on project adjustments.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring costs stay within allocated amounts.
- Order materials and supplies required for projects, negotiating with suppliers when necessary.
- Track project expenses and ensure profitability.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all projects are completed in compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all team members and clients.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Provide regular project status reports to management.
- Post-Project Evaluation:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to ensure client satisfaction and address any follow-up needs.
- Document lessons learned and areas for improvement for future projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management, preferably in the landscaping or construction industry.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in project management software.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques, horticultural practices, and outdoor design.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Landscape Industry Certified (LIC) or similar certifications are a plus.
- First Aid and OSHA certifications are desirable.
Work Environment & Conditions:
- Work primarily on job sites, often outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Regular office work for planning, budgeting, and client communication.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to meet project deadlines or client needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
