We’re hiring an organized and dependable Assistant Manager to help support operations at a newly developed apartment community currently in its lease-up phase. This position works alongside the Community Manager to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes; handling administrative tasks, supporting residents, and helping maintain structure as the property fills with new tenants.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Partner with the Community Manager to oversee daily property operations
- Keep resident files, reports, and internal records accurate and up to date
- Assist residents with questions, concerns, and general support needs
- Help ensure adherence to housing regulations and company guidelines
- Support rent-related processes, notices, and basic reporting tasks
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure units are ready for occupancy
- Step in to assist with leasing tasks when needed, including giving tours, processing applications, or preparing lease documents
- Help manage move-in and move-out processes and track unit availability
- Contribute to resident engagement efforts, including events and community initiatives
What You Bring to the Table
- Prior experience in property management, administrative support, or a similar field is helpful
- Exposure to new developments or lease-up communities is a bonus
- Strong attention to detail with solid organizational habits
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to stay on top of multiple tasks in a dynamic, changing environment
- Comfortable using computers and office programs; experience with property management software is a plus
- A team-first attitude with a willingness to jump in where needed
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to complete a background screening
- Familiarity with housing regulations is preferred
- Flexibility to work weekends as business needs require
