Position Overview

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) role is critical to Luxshare-Tech’s strategy of expanding its presence in existing markets and entering new markets with innovative products in electrical connection, optical connection, thermal, and power solutions.

As the primary technical interface between the customer and Luxshare, the FAE identifies opportunities through engineering engagement, provides agile product and system design support, and drives new designs toward successful program awards. This role ensures efficient technical collaboration, provides front-line support on quality issues, enhances technical relationships with customers, and delivers feedback (VOC) for new product assessments.



Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Business Growth
  • Build and strengthen relationships with customer engineering teams and leaders to identify opportunities and secure new design wins.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor, presenting product portfolios and showcasing technical differentiators.
  • Provide agile design support and collaborate with engineering to develop customized solutions.
  • Technical Leadership & Problem Solving
  • Conduct on-site engineering analysis to support both system- and component-level designs.
  • Lead and resolve technical issues, including quality concerns, rejects, and field failures.
  • Analyze engineering data (e.g., tolerance reports, SI s-parameters, FEA results) to support product validation and optimization.
  • Deliver technical training for customers and internal teams.
  • Collaboration & Innovation
  • Partner with sales, product management, R&D, and business development to define roadmaps for next-generation interconnect solutions.
  • Support project timelines and deliverables for customer-specific development programs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends such as co-packaged optics, AI workload optimization, and emerging interconnect architectures.
  • Participate in customer presentations, industry standards development, and tradeshows.



Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • 5 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in application engineering or product development.
  • Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or signal/power integrity engineering, with the ability to expand into cross-disciplinary knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of server and switch architectures (Datacom, Networking, or AI infrastructure) and related interconnect product solutions.
  • Skilled in 3D mechanical CAD and SI s-parameter interpretation software.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Team-oriented with strong leadership abilities, capable of working independently.
  • Deep understanding of customer and market requirements in the interconnect industry.
  • Experience evaluating market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution and results orientation.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
