TexPac Hide & Skin is hiring a CDL Class A Local Truck Driver for a dedicated salt route.
This position runs Monday through Friday from our Fort Worth yard to Morton Salt in Grand Saline, TX, and returns to our Fort Worth location. The driver will typically complete one to two trips per day, depending on loading times, traffic, and daily operational needs.
Because wait times at Morton Salt can be long, the driver must be available to begin work between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM each day. If additional time is available after completing the scheduled salt runs, the driver may be assigned other local driving or general operational duties.

Pay:
Starting at $25.00 per hour
Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate
Paid weekly
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Early morning start between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM
Typically one to two trips per day
Home daily
Dedicated local route
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
Pick up salt loads from Morton Salt and deliver them to our Fort Worth location
Complete one to two salt runs per day based on loading times and operational needs
Assist with other local driving or operational duties when time allows
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Follow DOT safety requirements and company procedures
Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, loading status, or equipment issues
Keep paperwork, BOLs, and delivery documents organized
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum 10 years of CDL Class A driving experience required
Clean and safe driving record preferred
Must be reliable and punctual
Must be available to begin work between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM
Must be comfortable with possible extended wait times at the pickup location
Must be comfortable running a dedicated local route between Fort Worth and Grand Saline
Must be able to pass required drug testing and background checks
Previous local trucking, dry van, reefer, or freight experience preferred
This is a steady local driving position with daily home time and consistent weekday work.
Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,400.00 per week
