What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Quality Assurance Specialist position at Luxor Staffing?
Luxor Staffing is hiring Food Quality Assurance Specialists paying $22 per hour. Weekly pay, possible overtime, incentive and bonus programs, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement food safety programs (e.g., HACCP, SQF, GMPs)
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Conduct internal audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and procedures
- Train staff on food safety protocols and best practices
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints and product recalls
- Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, etc.)
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards
- Prepare reports on quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role working with protein food.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
- Experience in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSMA, GFSI, HACCP, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in quality management systems and data analysis tools
