Activity Aide Schedule: Evening and weekends

Activity Aide Position Summary:

The Activity Assistant helps plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs based on each resident’s assessment and care plan, following guidance from the Activity Director.

Activity Assistant Responsibilities:

• Prepare activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs
• Recommend needed equipment and supplies to the supervisor
• Clean and reset activity areas after programs
• Follow resident care plans to provide daily activities
• Purchase department supplies and assist residents with personal items when needed
• Support residents during activities to promote physical, social, and emotional well-being
• Visit in-room residents, assist with crafts, write letters, run errands, and provide general support
  
  
  

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Experience in a Long Term Care Activities Department (preferred)
• Patience, tact, a cheerful attitude, and enthusiasm
• Ability to work with residents at varying maturity levels
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to move intermittently throughout the day
