Project Description:
Support and additional build out (projects) for Calypso instance.
Compensation for NYC: 00 USD Gross per year based on your interview results. - Role Summary Senior Calypso Technical Specialist responsible for the implementation, configuration, integration, and stabilization of a Calypso instance. The candidate will own technical delivery across environment management in a capital markets context.
Calypso Environment Management
Setup and administration of Calypso environments across Development, SIT, UAT, and Production tiers
Configuration of Calypso application server (JBoss/WildFly), database connections, and JVM tuning for performance
Management of Calypso environment properties files, configuration repositories, and environment-specific parameter sets
Deployment and promotion of Calypso builds across environments using CI/CD pipelines or Calypso-native deployment tooling
Installation and application of Calypso patches, hotfixes, and version upgrades with regression impact assessment
Monitoring of Calypso environment health: server logs, batch job status, memory utilisation, and database performance
Setup and maintenance of Calypso user accounts, roles, entitlements, and access control profiles - 8 years Calypso technical experience across implementation, integration, and migration projects with emphasis on Calypso environment management
Proficient in Java development within the Calypso API framework
Strong SQL (Oracle/MSSQL) for database analysis, data migration, and performance tuning
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting for environment automation and batch management
Knowledge of application server administration (JBoss/WildFly) and JVM performance tuning
Familiarity with version control (Git/SVN), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in a Calypso context
Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery alongside structured governance frameworks
Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders at all levels
Calypso Technical Architecture
Deep understanding of the Calypso three-tier architecture: client, application server (CalypsoServer), and database layer
Knowledge of Calypso message bus (MQ/JMS) architecture for inter-process communication and event-driven workflows
Configuration of Calypso DS (Data Server), PS (Process Server), and CS (Calypso Server) components
Understanding of Calypso's internal object model: Trade, TransferRule, Account, LegalEntity, Product, and associated persistence layer
Experience with Calypso clustering, failover configuration, and high-availability setup for production environments
Familiarity with Calypso licensing model and feature activation per module - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential.
