What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Maintenance Tech position at Luxit Group?
- MUST have experience working with Plastic Injection Molds
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety regulations.
- Operate Overhead crane and forklift when required.
- Ability to fully disassemble injection molds and identify damaged or worn components/surfaces.
- Must possess required tools to support mold disassembly, assembly, and minor mold repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities – cleaning mold surfaces, deburring and polishing as required.
- Able to work in the molding press opening vents, surface polishing and minor repairs.
- Understanding of injection mold hydraulic and electrical requirements.
- Perform minor engineering changes.
- Manage storage of production molds
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and various deburring and grinding of tools.
- Assist in New Program Trials.
- Assist in trouble shooting and repairing injection molds.
- Track hours on all jobs and maintain all paperwork required.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records of all tool repairs and changes.
- Assure proper inventory levels of required replacement parts for all tools.
- Maintain tools in optimal operating condition.
- When needed assist mold setting teams with any tooling issues
- When needed assist Maintenance teams with any tooling / Machine issues.
