Role Description The Optician role is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA in the heart of old town. This role involves assisting customers with frame selection, lens options, and optical products to ensure proper fit, comfort, and visual performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, measuring facial and eye dimensions, performing adjustments and repairs to eyewear, and maintaining accurate records of customer orders. The Optician collaborates with optometrists and other team members to support eye exams, verify lens specifications, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the visit. The role also includes educating customers on lens technologies, care instructions, and available vision solutions while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant retail environment.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Optics and Optometry to interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate lenses.
- Demonstrated commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly.
- Experience supporting Eye Exams, including coordinating patient flow and verifying prescription details.
- Attention to detail in measuring, fitting, adjusting, and repairing eyewear, with good manual dexterity.
- Previous experience as an optician, optical technician, or in a similar vision care role preferred.
- Relevant state licensure or certification as an Optician
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional optical or healthcare training is an advantage.
