What You'll Do
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance organization by ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and providing meaningful analysis that helps drive business decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare financial analyses, reports, and special projects for management.
- Support the accounts payable function and assist with departmental accounting processes.
- Coordinate and process weekly payment runs.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.
- Assist with revenue and expense analysis, including brand and cost allocations.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working in a mid-size or large corporate environment (experience with companies exceeding $100 million in annual revenue is preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large volumes of financial transactions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues, recommend practical solutions, and follow through on implementation.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
