THE OPPORTUNITY
The Enterprise Data & Automation Architect is responsible for designing and governing the enterprise data architecture and automation framework that enables reliable reporting, scalable integrations, and future ERP and AI initiatives. This role establishes data standards, integration patterns, and automation architecture while partnering with business and IT leaders to modernize how data is structured, accessed, and leveraged across the organization. The position serves as a strategic and hands‑on technical authority, ensuring data and automation solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Enterprise Data Architecture & Strategy
• Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, including data models, integration patterns, and analytics frameworks.
• Establish standards for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption across systems.
• Define future state data architecture to support ERP consolidation and enterprise reporting.
Data Integration & Analytics Enablement
• Architect and oversee data pipelines and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related tools.
• Ensure reliable integration of data from ERP, operational, and legacy systems.
• Enable consistent, governed access to trusted data for reporting and analytics.
Business Process Automation Architecture
• Identify opportunities where automation can reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Design automation architectures using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Define standards and patterns for scalable, maintainable automation solutions delivered by IT or business teams.
Data & Governance Alignment
• Establish data governance frameworks, including data ownership, quality standards, and lifecycle management.
• Align data governance and access strategies in partnership with security and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure data access and automation designs support compliance and security requirements.
ERP & AI Readiness
• Serve as data and integration architecture lead for ERP modernization initiatives.
• Define data migration and interoperability strategies to support ERP consolidation.
• Prepare structured, high-quality data to support analytics, automation, and future AI use cases.
Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Document architecture standards, data models, and integration designs.
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across initiatives.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise systems roles.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data and integration architectures.
• Experience supporting ERP systems and data migrations strongly preferred.
• Enterprise data modeling, ETL/ELT, and analytics architecture
• Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL; Python preferred
• Microsoft Power Platform architecture and automation design
• API and system integration design
• Data governance, security, and access control concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Graph
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical designs
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Strategic thinking combined with hands on execution capability
• Ability to work cross functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Type of Equipment Operated includes frequently used office equipment, computer software programs, manuals, books, or other written resources, hand tools, power tools, two-way radios, and other tools/equipment/resources; Includes use of sanitation equipment and lab/field equipment; Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, SAP, copier/printer.
