Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for Outdoor Lighting Systems with strong technical knowledge of low-voltage lighting and the ability to coordinate projects from design through final installation.

The ideal candidate has experience working with installation teams, understands low-voltage electrical systems, direct burial wiring, transformers, and smart lighting controls, and can effectively manage project timelines, client expectations, and field operations.

This role requires a strong communicator who takes initiative, leads by example, and upholds the high standards of Lux Lighting. You will coordinate projects, oversee installation teams, ensure quality control, and serve as the professional point of contact between clients, designers, and installation crews.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Coordination

• Plan and manage outdoor lighting projects from design approval through final installation
• Coordinate schedules between designers, installation teams, vendors, and clients
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards
• Manage project timelines, materials procurement, and installation logistics
• Provide clear communication and updates to clients regarding project progress

Leadership & Team Coordination

• Supervise installation crews and coordinate daily project schedules
• Ensure efficient use of time, materials, and equipment on every job site
• Provide guidance, training, and support to field technicians
• Maintain strong collaboration between designers, management, and installation teams

Technical Oversight

• Oversee the installation and testing of low-voltage outdoor lighting systems
• Ensure proper trenching, conduit installation, and direct burial wiring according to code and manufacturer standards
• Verify installation of transformers, drivers, and control systems
• Assist with programming smart lighting systems and mobile applications (e.g., Luxor, WAC, etc.)
• Troubleshoot system performance issues when necessary

Operations & Site Management

• Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and quality control
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company installation practices
• Track labor hours, materials usage, and project expenses
• Maintain inventory oversight of tools, vehicles, and equipment
• Conduct final project walkthroughs with clients to ensure satisfaction

Qualifications & SkillsRequired

• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape lighting, electrical, or construction leadership
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and supervise installation teams
• Strong understanding of low-voltage lighting systems and transformer wiring
• Comfortable with app-based system setup and lighting programming
• Professional appearance and strong client communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Physically able to lift 60 lbs and perform outdoor work when required
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship

Preferred

• Experience with FX Luminaire Luxor, WAC Colorscaping, or other smart lighting platforms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting and voltage drop calculations
