Role Description The Ambulatory Infusion Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Soldotna, AK, responsible for delivering safe, high-quality infusion therapy in an ambulatory infusion center setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients before infusions, reviewing orders, preparing and administering IV medications and biologics, and monitoring patients for adverse reactions throughout treatment. The nurse will provide direct patient education on therapy regimens, side effects, and self-care, and will coordinate care with prescribing clinicians and other healthcare team members. This role also involves accurate documentation in clinical systems, adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The Ambulatory Infusion Nurse contributes to a patient-centered experience by offering compassionate support, advocating for patient needs, and helping streamline therapy starts and ongoing treatment.

Qualifications
- Clinical nursing skills: strong foundation in Nursing and Medicine, with competency in IV therapy and infusion-related care.
- Infusion practice expertise: experience or training in Home Infusion and ambulatory infusion services, including medication preparation and administration.
- Direct patient care capabilities: proven ability to deliver Direct Patient Care, including assessment, monitoring, patient education, and follow-up.
- Acute and complex care experience: exposure to Critical Care Medicine or high-acuity settings, with skill in recognizing and managing infusion reactions and emergencies.
- Required credentials: active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Alaska; BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Additional skills: strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and proficiency with electronic health records.
- Preferred background: prior experience in infusion centers, oncology, immunology, or similar specialties, and familiarity with evidence-based infusion protocols and safety standards.
