What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom cabinetmaker-woodworker position at Lux Construction?
Growing custom cabinet, furniture and architectural millwork shop looking for an additional bench carpenter to joing the team.
-Most projects are components of residential remodels, with custom/unique details and build quality to be proud of.
-experienced, proficient skills in reading shop drawings, understanding hardware callouts, grain matched projects, etc.
-understand the importance of safety in and around shop tools, materials and equipment-extensive experience working with slide table saw, edgebanders, shapers, jointers/planers, CNC, etc.
-Familiarity with multiple construction styles (euro, full overlay, flush inset, laminate, finishing, etc.)
-Ability to dimension rough stock, deep understanding of process and wood movement.
-We don't expect expert levels at all machines and processes, but familiarity is important.

Minimum Requirements:
Must have recent cabinet shop experience within the last few months, looking for folks with 5 years of shop experience at minimum.
Ability to manage and take ownership of job when supervisor is not there
Timely, organized to meet and beat deadlines
Ability to admit when you have made a mistake
Have pride and respect for your work
Will put the business first and strive for the success of this business
An efficient, yet safe worker
Have a working cell phone
Professional appearance
Valid driver's license
High School diploma
Strong english language skills, doesn't need to be your first/primary language, but communication is key in this line of work.
In addition to hourly compensation, we offer an insurance stipend of $150/month, paid sick time, and simple IRA with company match after probationary period.
