Role Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and data-driven Director of E-Commerce & Digital Strategy to lead Lux 18’s digital commerce ecosystem and drive the next phase of growth. This role will own the transition from a marketplace-focused model to a true direct-to-consumer strategy.

This position will oversee all current e-commerce processes and manage the day-to-day work executed by our E-Commerce Manager. You will set the digital roadmap, identify revenue opportunities, lead marketplace and owned-site strategy, and build a scalable digital infrastructure that supports the company’s long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Own and lead Lux 18’s end-to-end digital strategy across marketplaces and owned e-commerce channels.
  • Develop the roadmap to build and execute a portfolio of owned, multi-brand online stores.
  • Translate business goals into actionable KPIs and performance dashboards that drive profitable growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the E-Commerce Manager, ensuring high-quality execution and development.

Owned E-Commerce (Multi-Brand Retail Sites)

  • Architect and oversee the development of new Lux 18-owned online retail properties.
  • Manage site UX, product presentation, assortment planning, merchandising, and content strategy.
  • Optimize conversion rate, customer journey, and merchandising based on analytics and A/B testing.
  • Supervise product creation, content uploads, and catalog structure produced by the E-Commerce Manager.

Marketplace Strategy & Operations

  • Oversee all third-party marketplace operations and performance.
  • Evaluate existing marketplace partners and identify new opportunities aligned with profitability and brand protection.
  • Monitor stock levels, pricing strategy, margins, exposure, and replenishment needs.
  • Guide the E-Commerce Manager’s daily marketplace tasks and vendor communications.

Digital Marketing & Growth

  • Build and lead the marketing strategy across digital channels including paid social, paid search, email, affiliates, and SEO.
  • Create growth models tied to revenue, ROAS, CAC, LTV, and customer segmentation.
  • Partner with creative teams to support product launches, campaigns, and events.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in e-commerce, preferably in multi-brand fashion, streetwear, or apparel.
  • Strong Shopify experience with proven ability to build and scale DTC sites.
  • Demonstrated success growing an e-commerce business using KPIs and analytics.
  • Experience managing third-party marketplaces.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising, digital marketing, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Experience leading or managing teams or cross-functional contributors.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable with forecasting models and performance dashboards.
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with streetwear and fashion industry trends preferred.

Why Join Lux 18?

  • Be part of a small, high-growth company where your work creates an immediate and measurable impact.
  • Champion and build a new e-commerce department with the opportunity to scale rapidly.
