Our client is looking for a Portfolio Trader who is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Whether you’re a recent finance graduate with strong internship experience or have a few years of trading or wealth management experience, this role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills and grow within an accomplished, collaborative team.
What You’ll Do
- Execute routine money market and fixed-income trades across client portfolios
- Monitor cash balances, maturities, account activity, and portfolio exceptions
- Support quarterly and as-needed portfolio rebalancing
- Review accounts for cash variances, tolerance issues, restrictions, and other trading-related items
- Manage daily trading requests and workflows, ensuring items are completed accurately and on time
- Research and resolve account or trading discrepancies
- Maintain accurate trading documentation and account records
- Partner closely with portfolio managers, advisors, and operations professionals to implement investment decisions
- Help identify opportunities to improve trading processes and client service
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Ideally 1–3 years of experience in portfolio trading, investments, portfolio management, or wealth management
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, account activity, and time-sensitive transactions
- Proficiency with Excel and the ability to learn investment and trading technology
- Professional judgment and discretion when working with confidential client information
- Progress toward the CFA charter is a plus
- Clean regulatory background
