Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a 1st shift Receiving Supervisor at our facility in Ashland, VA. You will be part of a growing leadership team as we continue to make investments in the Ashland area. In this position, you will play a role in operations start-up of a new facility and in this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the execution of receiving, put-away, replenishment, and inventory control activities within an soon to be SAP EWM-enabled warehouse. This role manages a team of associates to ensure operational excellence and supports customer order fulfillment by maintaining accurate inventory levels and timely task execution. The supervisor monitors both digital systems and physical workflows to identify and resolve issues that could impact customer fill rate or delay outbound shipments. Success in this role requires a hands-on leader who can drive performance against key KPIs, foster team accountability, and collaborate across departments to ensure upstream and downstream alignment. Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment for the warehouse teams
- Provide training, auditing and implementing new policies and procedures
- Provide direct floor supervision of inbound and outbound operations
- Meet and exceed KPI's for quality, service, and costs
- Provide performance reporting to management team and use this data to lead and support continual process improvement initiatives
- Cross-functionally support site production operations including hiring, training and development of warehouse staff
- Develop team members in their skills and career growth
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing markets
- Be an innovative thinker and customer focused
- 10 years of shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
- Demonstrated success in coaching, performance management and team development
- Ability to work to support 1st shift warehouse schedule (1st shift: 8:00am-5:00pm)
- Proven experience with MRP systems (SAP – Preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proven analytical and computer skills
