Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop strategies aligned with business goals and manufacturing objectives across all assigned sites. Drive execution and implementation by local HR teams of such strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to plant and corporate leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development and engagement.
- Develop HR solutions, programs, and policies to support corporate initiatives.
- Lead succession planning and talent pipeline initiatives for key manufacturing roles.
- Partner with corporate talent development team to bring on site leadership training programs and employee development initiatives.
- Lead local HR teams and work with local operations leaders to identify and address skill gaps.
- Promote positive employee relations and maintain open communication channels between employees and management.
- Manage complex employee relations issues and investigations, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.
- Anticipate the needs of the organization and proactively drive people strategies that differentiate Lutron as an employer.
- Oversee HR operations across sites including recruiting, staffing, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Develop and implement consistent HR processes, metrics, and reporting tools across all facilities.
- Coordinate with corporate HR communication strategies to ensure alignment and consistency across all sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology or related field required.
- Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- At least 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with minimum 5-8 years supporting multiple manufacturing or industrial locations.
- Proven success in developing and leading multi-site HR teams.
- Proven knowledge of labor law, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and travel regularly to multiple locations.
- Experience working effectively in a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated ability of analysis, problem solving and conflict resolution in complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
- 20% travel
