Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Analysis Laboratory team to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for the Analysis Lab in alignment with senior engineering leadership.
- Conduct detailed analyses, identifying root causes of issues, and preparing clear, professional reports that effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
- Utilize tools such as FTIR, SEM, melt flow analysis, and mechanical testing to investigate material and component failures (e.g., fractures, corrosion).
- Characterize and model new materials to support product development and innovation.
- Build and maintain Finite Element Analysis (FEA) material libraries and develop reliability models using theoretical and empirical data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in standardized testing methods and materials science.
- Act as a liaison with external consultants and industry experts to enhance internal capabilities.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster technical growth and collaboration.
- Ensure high standards of laboratory practices, process improvements, and data integrity.

- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for each degree earned.
- 10 years of industry experience in materials engineering, failure analysis, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience with analytical tools and techniques such as SEM, FTIR, stress-strain testing, and fractography.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience in a technical environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
