π Part-Time | 30 Hours per Week
Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, appearance, and functionality of our residential and program facilities. This position supports the Marinette Trolley property as well as HUD housing locations throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
Schedule & Service Area
- 30 hours per week
- 20 hours supporting the Marinette Trolley property
- 10 hours supporting HUD housing sites
- Service area includes:
- Marinette
- Appleton
- Oshkosh
- Manitowoc
- Waupaca
- Clintonville
- Shawano
- Travel between sites is required.
What You'll Do
- Complete maintenance requests and repairs in a timely manner
- Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general building repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance and property inspections
- Maintain grounds, landscaping, curb appeal, and snow removal
- Repair and replace doors, windows, fixtures, appliances, and other building components
- Monitor building systems and mechanical equipment
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed
- Participate in an emergency on-call rotation as assigned
- Ensure properties meet LSS, HUD, WHEDA, local code, and safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Two years of building maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical labor in indoor and outdoor environments
- Basic computer skills, including email and online training systems
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
- Successful completion of background and other required screenings
