- Recruit, engage, and license an adequate number of foster families to fulfill the placement and respite goals of the program.
- Ensure all components of the evidenced-based model used by the program are in place in the foster homes and foster services maintain the model with fidelity.
- Schedule and deliver TFCO training to newly recruited foster parents. May deliver individual training or refresher sessions with foster parents as needed to keep them on models.
- Complete parent daily report calls (PDR) with foster families, entering the data in Focus and with fidelity to the model. May serve as back-up if primary responsibility is assigned elsewhere.
- Complete and submit all other agency required reports related to recruitment and training activities, including keeping the agency database/tracking sheets updated.
- Participate in supervisory process for guidance, direction, support, and approval of decision making, assessment, service planning and intervention. Present cases for staffing or participate in staffings as needed, including weekly team meetings.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
In addition to a real passion for working with at-risk children and families, this opportunity requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field required.
- Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL), 402, CCA certifications or able to obtain is required.
- Training in Treatment Foster Care of Oregon (TFCO) model, or available to participate in
- Prior experience in child welfare, foster care or other related area preferred.
- Experience performing all needed foster parent licensing duties preferred.
- Demonstrated ability communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute and effective and ongoing recruitment strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate foster parents to participate and adhere to a highly detailed treatment model and provide services using a team approach.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to others and/or influence others.
- Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required. Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
