The schedule for this role is nontraditional!
Purpose & Impact :
The Family Support staff is responsible for providing Center orientation to new families and providing direct assistance to families that require additional support in completing applications or referral consents. The position will assist in the implementation and facilitation of family support programming and facilitating center-driven programming and events.
Essential Functions :
- Assist in development and implementation of family support programming.
- Provide Center orientation to new families.
- Provide direct assistance to families that require additional support in completing applications or referral consents.
- Refer and link families to appropriate programs and community resources as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate Center-driven programming and events.
- Support partner agencies with program registration and follow-up.
- Support the efforts of all CBFRC staff.
- Document services, maintain records, complete reports, purchase supplies, input data into a data base system.
- Ensure Center is a safe warm welcoming environment for all.
- Maintain cooperative working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, families, partners and the community.
- Work to support Center and collaborative outcomes.
- Follow all CBFRC Policies and Procedures.
- Perform targeted outreach as needed.
- Perform daily operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements :
Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
Experience :
A minimum of two years’ experience in serving families.
Skills :
The Family Specialist will be knowledgeable in community resources to provide assistance in implementing strength-based family programming and facilitating center-driven programming or events.
