About the Role:
The Certified Med Aide at Concordia Senior Living plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. This position involves administering medications and monitoring the health status of residents in accordance with established protocols and regulations. The Med Aide will collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs. Additionally, this role requires maintaining accurate records of medication administration and any changes in residents' conditions. Ultimately, the Certified Med Aide contributes to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for our senior residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Medication Aide.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with elderly populations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and residents' health status.
- Assist residents with daily living activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
