Responsibilities
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents with friendly, attentive customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through proper sanitation, cleaning, and bussing procedures
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and sanitation practices
- Support dietary department operations by organizing supplies and ensuring timely meal delivery
- Assist with food portioning, plating, and presentation to enhance resident satisfaction
- Follow all safety regulations related to food service, sanitation, and kitchen equipment use
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, and safety standards
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience with food handling, serving, cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward residents and team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dietary or culinary team
- Basic understanding of dietetics principles and meal planning is a plus
