Our unit features 4 Cath Lab rooms (including 2 hybrid labs) offering comprehensive percutaneous cardiac care, structural heart procedures, ECMO, and peripheral vascular interventions.

Shift & Call Schedule
- Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Call Commitment: 1 day per week and every 6th weekend
- Weekends & Holidays: Worked only when scheduled on-call
Essential Functions
Cath Lab Clinical Duties
- Pre-Procedure: Review medical history, assess clinical status, initiate/maintain IV lines, administer prescribed pre-procedure medications, verify surgical consents, and educate patients and families.
- Intra-Procedure: Assist cardiologists during catheterization procedures, monitor vital signs, track hemodynamic data, manage sedation levels, operate specialized equipment, and respond immediately to emergencies.
- Post-Procedure: Continuously monitor patient recovery, administer post-procedure medications, track clinical condition, and document outcomes.
General RN Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Administer medications safely, monitor for adverse effects, and maintain precise documentation.
- Maintain infection control standards, follow National Patient Safety Goals, and ensure emergency readiness (CPR, code team interventions).
- Participate in clinical audits, chart reviews, quality improvement, and unit-level performance initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care / ICU experience is required.
- Licensure: Current Indiana RN License or active Compact / Multi-State RN License (Required).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.
- Preferred Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, emergency response, interdisciplinary collaboration, and organizational capabilities.
