Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care of assigned individuals according to individual plan of care and in keeping with scope of practice and agency policies and procedures
- Document patient information and nursing actions performed and patient response to care timely and appropriately
- Must be flexible and make care decisions bases on the condition of the patient and prioritizing according to individual need
- Carries out responsibilities within the infection control, risk management, safety and disaster programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A current and valid CT RN/LPN license is required
- Must be CPR and IV certified
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule
- Graduate of an approved licensed practical nursing education program, degree preferred.
- Must possess a current and valid CT LPN license.
- Current Certified Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Other current certifications specific to unit requirements
- Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
- IV Certified
- Basic computer skills – hardware and software
