HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Please note that this is a remote position open to candidates that reside in our 3-state operating area of Oregon, Washington or Idaho**

The Capital Development Manager advances LCSNW's strategic growth by developing and coordinating fundraising strategies that support facility, housing, infrastructure, and other capital initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this position helps coordinate, secure, and steward philanthropic and institutional investments that strengthen service capacity and organizational sustainability. Through capital campaign leadership, enterprise funding strategy, partnership with regional advancement teams, and strategic donor engagement, the role supports successful capital projects and builds organizational capacity to support future growth and community impact.

  • Develop and support implementation of enterprise-wide capital fundraising strategies and campaign plans that advance organizational capital projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Regional Advancement Managers, grant writers, shared services, and program leaders to coordinate capital funding efforts and develop collaborative donor engagement strategies.
  • Research, identify, and pursue capital funding opportunities from philanthropic, corporate, government, and community sources.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with a strategic portfolio of donors, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding partners to secure capital investments.
  • Coordinate capital campaign activities and provide campaign leadership, resources, and expertise to support fundraising efforts across the organization.
  • Track fundraising activity, funding commitments, and campaign progress, providing analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance to leadership and advancement partners.

HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, public administration, philanthropy, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Five years of progressive experience in fundraising, philanthropy, grants, donor relations, capital campaigns, major gifts, or related revenue-generation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors, foundation, corporate, or community partner relationships.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship practices, prospect management, and capital campaign planning and implementation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with donors, community partners, staff, and organizational leadership.
  • Strong organizational, project management, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate technology proficiency, including donor database/CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, virtual communication platforms, and fundraising reporting tools.
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
  • Thrives in a diverse environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
  • Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use a computer, and communicate for extended periods; occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Travels between worksites regularly to attend meetings, events, and donor engagements
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
